In the summer of 1994, The Lonestar Bluegrass Band had the honor to represent the great city of Houston, Texas in an American Festival in Chiba, Japan. During the groups four days of performances, an estimated 100,000 enthusiastic listeners enjoyed a taste of Texas style bluegrass music. The fine folks from Japan were no strangers to the distinct sounds of banjos and fiddles. The band was also fortunate enough to be the special guest artists at the Chiba Bluegrass Festival. At this one festival, forty-three bands from Japan were scheduled to perform! The response for the Lonestar Bluegrass band was fantastic. The guys played their standards in addition to the many requests from the knowledgeable crowds during their extended show.
